As a PORSE Educator you will never Become part of our Living and Learning organisation and share your passion and philosophy for working with young children. PORSE Educators are vital in getting young children off to a great start in life and establishing trusting and respectful relationships with families. We offer you specialised training, professional support and career opportunities to be of service to families and become life-long friends with the children you care for. PORSE Educators are contractors or employees and determine their own expectations of pay. Who can become a PORSE Educator? Carers, stay at home parents, grandparents, foster families, nannies, early childhood teachers. PORSE welcomes anyone over the age of 17 years who is keen to work with children in a family home as a nanny or welcome children into their own home as a Home or Family Educator. You must have a current first aid certificate prior to starting work. Nanny Educator PORSE will support you to find employment with a family and with the option of PORSE Payroll will administer your wages, PAYE, holiday pay, ACC, KiwiSaver employee and employer contributions. Options to be an independent contractor apply if working less than 30 hours per week can also be arranged. Family Educator PORSE will support you to work with extended family members, recognising that relatives are important to the welfare and daily care of young children. PORSE Payroll will administer any or all family payments, subsidies and allowances. Home Educator Working with PORSE as an independent contractor caring for children in your own home, you will be setting up your own business by determining your income and conditions of service while still receiving full PORSE Payroll support with family payments and calculations for tax benefits. Become a Granny Nanny To be a Granny Nanny with your own grandchildren or someone else's children, one of the only external requirements you will need is a First Aid certificate, which we can support you to obtain. We then provide you with all the support and on the job training you need to be a granny nanny.
